You Will NEVER Lose Weight Effectively Until You Do The Following…..

You won’t be happy, will yo-yo diet, will always feel like you’re ‘playing catchup’, and will never feel any sense of control until you…..

Until you what?

What are the differences that make all the difference?

What do successful dieters do that unsuccessful dieters don’t?

Well the most prominent differences between successful and unsuccessful dieters – the people that achieve long-term weightloss versus those that yo-yo diet – the people that enjoy eating versus those that find it daunting because of the impact it is having on their bodies, are:

They take full, personal responsibility for their health;

They commit to a healthy eating pattern instead of a ‘diet’;

They see the value in committing to some form of exercise;

They develop self-discipline over time;

They know how to say ‘NO!’ and mean it; and

They take a pro-active interest in their health.

So lets examine each of these in a little more detail…..

Q. What does taking full, personal responsibility for your health actually mean?

A. It means that you, not your doctor, your partner, your children, your boss, the supplement companies, the gastric band surgeons, your therapist or anyone else but you and you alone accept that your health is your sole responsibility.

I cannot emphasise the importance of this enough.

If you are not prepared to take sole responsibility for losing weight and getting healthier, by extension you are declaring yourself a victim of outside circumstance – a position that completely dis-empowers you and dooms you to failure.

Why?

Simple – you don’t have control of other people and circumstances, the only thing you have control of is yourself. Take it, use it.

Q. What is the difference between a healthy eating pattern and a diet?

A. Not much in terms of food actually, but there is a major difference in the perception of why you are changing your eating habits.

‘Dieting’ sounds and feels bad. It sounds restrictive, negative, punishing, lacking in choice.

‘Adopting a healthy eating pattern’ sounds life affirming, positive, full of choice and hopeful.

Semantics? Hardly. Your unconscious (subconscious if you like) doesn’t know the difference between reality and imagination. How do we know this? Simple – watch a horror movie – your body reacts with adrenalin at perceived fear and danger in exactly the same way it would at actual fear and danger – heart pounding, breathing rate increases, etc.

This inability by your unconscious mind to tell the difference between reality and imagination is one of the most powerful tools you have in your quest for weightloss – and hypnosis is the ideal method to take advantage of it.

Q. Why is exercise important?

A. For a multitude of reasons – some physiological and some psychological.

The physiological reasons include increased metabolic rate, improved muscle-tone (which in turns increases resting metabolism as well), improved hormonal regulation and response, better sleeping patterns.

The psychological reasons include a sense of achievement / moving forward, endorphin release which creates an all-natural heightened sense of well-being, relief from depression, the engagement of your natural goal-striving nature which enhances focus and self-discipline.

Now I am not talking about hours on the treadmill, stationery bike or some other such fitness mis-conception. The most important exercise you can do is that which enhances and increases musculature as muscle burns substantially more calories than fat and improves the chances of staying lean over the medium to longer-term.

We’re not talking pushing heavy weights here (unless you want to of course), we are talking about the type of exercise the uses either body-weight and / or light resistance to bring about and increase in muscle tone, and at the same time increases cardiac output and yes, causes a sweat!

Q. Why is it important to know how to say ‘NO!’ and mean it?

A. Assertiveness whilst dieting is essential to be able to stay on track personally, and deter others who may feel threatened by your determination and success! Hypnosis can put this in place for you.

Q. Why is it important to take a pro-active interest in health?

A. Things change – breakthroughs are made and what has been accepted wisdom in the past, may not be applicable any longer. Being open to new ideas, strategies and approaches, and having an experimental attitude can be the difference between outstanding and average results. There is no ‘one size fits all’ way to get thinner, keep the weight off and correct imbalances in the body – we are all individuals and we need to proceed on this basis.

So where to from here?

The first step is to make an appointment and come and have a chat.

Thereafter, if you are happy to proceed, we will structure a diet, discuss exercise options and the role hypnotherapy can play in supporting you on your way to success.

What does it cost?

£45.00 per session – simple, straight-forward, nothing hidden.

As we proceed I will provide you with hypnotic mp3′s, subliminal videos, and various other tools to help keep you on track. There will be homework – a bit of reading, research, etc – remember you will be expected to take full responsibility for your results (or lack thereof).

I can’t do it for you, but I can collaborate with you in your success!

So now is the first ‘take action’ challenge

Pick up the phone and make an appointment – do it NOW!
